All tours leave from the Spearfish Holiday Inn Parking Lot unless stated otherwise.

About Guided Tours
As a part of the Black Hills Camaro Rally registration, attendees are able to choose between the below guided tours (meals not included). These tours are designed to include a variety of destinations, lengths and departure times. We want to thank the Black Hills Camaro Club members for leading the guided tours. Make sure to look at the schedule and the detailed description of each tour to plan accordingly!

Custer State Park Wildlife Loop

Requires Custer State Park pass. They can be purchased during the tour at a cost of $25 per vehicle and are good for 7 days. Annual passes for SD residents are $40, nonresidents - $60.

4 hours/115 miles one way (ending in Custer)

On this tour, you will enjoy some backroads in the Black Hills, some of Custer State Park, the Wildlife Loop and the city of Custer.

Animals that are sometimes seen on the Wildlife Loop include deer, antelope, prairie dogs, buffalo, elk and burros

Needles Highway & Iron Mountain Road

Requires Custer State Park pass. They can be purchased during the tour at a cost of $25 per vehicle and are good for 7 days. Annual passes for SD residents are $40, nonresidents - $60.

3.5 hours/115 miles one way (ending in Keystone)

On this tour, you will enjoy Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road with stops at Candyland near Hill City and Keystone. Iron Mountain Road boasts 314 curves, 14 switchbacks, 3 pigtails, 3 tunnels, 2 splits and several views of Mount Rushmore including one through a tunnel, and we will be driving the best part of it!
Canyons Tour

3 hours 15 minutes/100 miles round trip

On this tour, you will enjoy Spearfish Canyon, Boulder Canyon and Vanocker Canyon

You can leave the tour in Sturgis, Deadwood or Lead if you desire to spend time in any of those towns

Devils Tower Tour

3.5 hours/125 miles roundtrip

On this tour, you will enjoy views of Wyoming and South Dakota prairie, the Wyoming portion of the Black Hills National Forest, and a close-up view of Devil’s Tower

Leave the tour at Devil’s Tower if you wish to enter the National Monument and take the 1.8 mile hike around the base
Spearfish Canyon Hiking Tour

4 hours/40 miles roundtrip with lunch

Starts with lunch at Lucky’s Pub (everyone pays for their own)

Drive up and down Spearfish Canyon

Hike to Roughlock Falls and back (2 miles total, flat)

Hike to Spearfish Falls (1.1 miles total, easy trail with elevation change of 85 ft)
